Our Story
In the United States there are no female Quran teachers, unless someone is charging online, and majority Muslim women are married and homemakers. After making my hijrah to the Middle East, I found a program that would give me degree in Sharia Law and allow me to memorize the Quran with tajweed.
Nearly two years into the program, I found they were treating the students with harshness and disrespect. They offered me a teaching position that I gladly declined, because I believe in “good character of a Muslim.” After, I started looking for Quran, Tajweed, and Arabic teacher for myself alone, and thought, there is a great need for the Sisters in Islam. Why don’t I open an online Quran center, so I am able to share the education with many.
I implemented what was good and the knowledge I learned from the previous school, added care, concern, and compassion of a fellow Muslim, representing the Quran Learning Center. My future goals are to grow as a FREE Learning Center for Muslim women. Gain monetary support from the community, add volunteers, and keep us teaching future sisters in Islam. Currently, a one-year program teaching Quran Memorization of the 30th juz, Arabic language to level 5, and proper Tajweed.
None of this is possible without the dedicated sisters providing their time to bring a top-notch education to our students every day.
